Chinato Bianco ‘Luli’

Luli’ is a chinato bianco; white chinato made with Moscato d’Asti from Vittorio Bera & Figli. It is more gentle than its red counterpart, utilising a slightly different mix of aromatics. Two types of China bark are steeped in the wine in order to extract quinine, the main flavouring agent in tonic, along with citrus zest, cinnamon and vanilla. Luli’ is floral, bittersweet, yeasty and gently spiced.

White Chinati are traditionally served at the beginning of a meal; over ice cubes with a garnish of lemon or orange peel, perhaps with a splash of sparkling water if dilution is desired.
