Chardonnay planted on the domaine’s marnes blanches, a soil Michel often describes as difficult to work but capable of producing beautifully expressive wines. The vines are around 45 years old, farmed without herbicide.The wine is pressed directly into foudre and raised without winter topping, following Gahier’s traditional oxidative approach. The 2022, a solar vintage, shows concentration yet brings a fine, bright acidity. It will age gracefully for 8–12 years, gaining depth and a gentle, buttery-saline complexity over time.
