Vouvray "La Rondière"

‘La Rondière’ is a red blend of Grolleau, Gamay, and Côt, sourced from 15-year-old vines grown on argilo-limoneux soils over limestone. The vineyard is farmed organically and harvested by hand. Fermentation is slow and traditional with gentle punch-downs in fiberglass tanks. The wine is bottled unfiltered and unfined with no added SO2. It has aromas of fresh strawberries, raspberries, and cherries, complemented by hints of blackberries, and licorice with a vegetal undertone. The palate is lively and smooth, with soft tannins and a rounded texture.
