Q1000 Tartaraci Rosso 2022 comes from the extreme contrada Tartaraci at 1000 meters above Randazzo and was the first release from the site since 2016. It is made from a small quantity of healthy Nerello Mascalese and Grenache from 75 to 80-year-old bush vines, fermented in a buried 1200-liter qvevri, macerated for one month, then aged in used chestnut until bottling in June 2024 without fining or filtration. Taut and mineral in style, it shows red plum, cherry, cranberry, high acidity, and austere, ethereal tannins.
