The Estate
Normanno’s work within the Terroirs Project builds on a broader shift the Vesco family initiated after taking over the estate in the late 1990s. Alongside their vineyards, they manage a mosaic of olive trees and wheat fields, shaping a mixed agricultural landscape that supports biodiversity and healthier soils. Their collaboration with the Terroirs team focuses on clarity of fruit and a clean, transparent expression of the local sandy hillsides. Some cuvées receive only the lightest filtration, accepting a touch of cloudiness or fine sediment as part of the wine’s natural texture. Their approach reflects the character of Alcamo, where sandy, subtly saline soils and the warm winds drifting up from the Sahara give the wines it’s distinct Mediterranean imprint.
