Winemaker: Flavio Roddolo
Terroir: Marl, Limestone, Clay, Silt, Sand
Farming practices: Non-certified Organic
We found the wines of Flavio Roddolo travelling Italy’s wine road in 2026 and they seemed to have a cult following. He made wine for decades in a farmhouse above Monforte d’Alba, farming, winemaking and bottling at his pace. He learnt his father’s methods young and changed little since, ageing in neutral oak with long macerations, unfiltered. Vines had no chemicals in forty years. Nebbiolo, Barbera and Dolcetto are released when he judges them ready, sometimes a decade after harvest.
