This sparkling wine is a blend of 40% Riesling with Pinot Blanc, Auxerrois, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Pinot Gris, grown on gravelly, alluvial soils in Scherwiller and Dambach-la-Ville. The vines, averaging 25 years old at 180m altitude on the northern slopes of the Frankstein hill.
In the cellar, the wine undergoes minimal intervention, with no additives, malolactic fermentation, or ‘liqueur d’expédition.’ After resting on slats for two years, it is disgorged in small batches to maintain freshness. This is a dry, mineral-driven crémant.
