A blend of five varieties from Pierre’s oldest vines: Chardonnay and Gewurztraminer from 1962, Pinot Blanc from 1970, plus Pinot Gris and Sylvaner. Since Alsace AOC rules won’t let him call it Alsace-Villages, he named it after the village itself. Briefly macerated on the Chardonnay and Pinot Blanc, the rest pressed direct and aged 11 months on fine lees: mineral, fruity and lightly aromatic. No sulfur added.
