From the Bricco Appiani hilltop, the wine ages for years in stainless steel before release which is unusual for Dolcetto. The age left room for plenty of tertiary aromas: dark red fruit, game, incense, iron, tobacco, and lavender. It’s dense and mineral despite the years, with a touch of volatile acidity that adds character.
